As convenient as picking up a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store is, I sometimes wonder about the chicken meat I am eating. Yes, this is my easy go-to option in a hurry. However, when I have the time to spend on baking a chicken in the oven, the taste is amazing! Baking a chicken in the oven does take time, but is a great meal for a cold day on the weekend. I tend to serve a chicken on Sunday’s at noon.
I do not allow anything from my chicken to go to waste. I dice up the meat to create a chicken salad for lunch the following day. Then, I place the bones in a pot to simmer all afternoon to make an amazing bone broth!
I found a new package of spices at the grocery store and I greatly appreciated it! Normally I have to buy all three spices in a separate container and it gets costly. However, now it is cheaper than ever before!!!
